So the tube that … So the tube that runs from the pump is hollow. That little plastic part on the infusion set, called a cannula, is also hollow and it gets poked THROUGH your skin, into the layer of fat just underneath. The insulin is delivered into that fat layer and absorbed by your body. There’s this wicked looking needle on the infusion set that pierces the skin. The needle is removed once the infusion set is inserted.
this is probably a … this is probably a retarded question but anyways how does the insulin get in you?? like u have the little thing so how does the stuff get in you?
But with the … But with the insulin pens you would have to take another shot or not get to eat it. I will be making some videos about diabetes and life with the insulin Pump. so please watch them and really think about switching to the pump
And lets say it is … And lets say it is your birthday and you are out for supper , you had your supper and you already took your shot. but then you decide you want dessert or some extra food . well most people wouldn’t want to take another shot. but with the insulin pump you don’t have to. you can just program in some extra insulin and bamm you can have that extra food you wanted.
A few reasons i … A few reasons i would reccomend the insulin Pump would be because instead of taking 2 needles a day you would go threw less pain and only have to take 1 needle every 2-4 days.
Hi my name is Avery … Hi my name is Avery i am 11 years old and i have had diabetes since i was 4 years old. I previously was on the Insulin Pens and was taking 4 shots daily , and recently changed to the insulin Pump . It has changed my life.

hi guys. i am from … hi guys. i am from Greece and i am diebetic since i was 11, now i am 16 years old. i use novomix flexpen 30, twice a day…..do you suggest to replace it with a pump.. why?.
The case came from … The case came from MiniMed. I think you can order it from their website. It was a little over-priced but it works really well for me so I keep buying them (mine only seem to last three or fours years)
Aww, thanks!! I’ve … Aww, thanks!! I’ve gotten tons of positive feedback from this video. It makes me happy that people find it helpful, even if it’s just that it makes them a little more comfortable with the whole thing. I’m sure you BF will love the pump once he adjusts!
Well, it depends… … Well, it depends… the longest I’ve gone with the pump off is about 4 hours. I swim a fair amount, but usually for less than an hour at a time, and just disconnect and remove the pump for that. I also mountain bike and usually just suspend the pump while biking (usually less than 2 hours.) I went skiing in Switzerland once and something about the combination of jet lag, altitude and effort kept making my sugars drop so I wound up leaving the pump off for about 4 hours.
This is great – I … This is great – I have just found out that I will be going onto a pump for better control. I have been injecting for almost 19yrs so when I was introduced to thie idea it did seem like a huge change. I did not know what to expect from using a pump but this has given me some insight. Thanks for the demo!..
also, what is the longest amount of time you find you can be disconnected? – I do a lot of sport (including swimming/ surfing)
Just want to say thanks for this, most people might think of it useless watch but my BF is diebatic and going on pump and i was very scared, but seeing this now, i feel better about it and cant wait to tell him its all ok!
You also seem very positive person just talking about it!Few have to learn of that!
Thanks for the … Thanks for the video. My wife is a diabetic and we are starting her on the pump. She goes in for training this week. We are approaching it with trepidation. This device looks pretty wild. I wonder if it can do my taxes.
thanks for this … thanks for this video. i am thinking about using the pump and this gave me some idea on what is involved thank you

Overcoming Diabetes
This shocking story may save your life....
I Turned My Husband Into A Human Guinea Pig… And Banished His Diabetes For Good!
After champagne and wedding cake, my diabetic husband crashed to the floor. As the ambulance pulled away, I made up my mind to wage war on diabetes.
Only after years of research am I now making my findings available. And you won’t believe what I’ve uncovered…
“Somebody Call An Ambulance!”
Even though diabetes ran in my family, I’d never given it much thought. Both my grandmother and my cousin had diabetes… but the disease had never hit home for me.
But that all changed on my wedding night. I knew my husband had diabetes, but I didn’t realize how serious the disease could be.
Until I Watched His Eyes Roll Up Into The Back Of His Head
On the most important night of my life, my husband crashed to the floor. Turns out, he had a bit too much cake and champagne and that caused his glucose levels to spike.
I learned a LOT about diabetes that night… but diabetes was about to learn a lot about ME in the coming years.
